Anyways, part of my LA Assessment's to write a poem about my primary school..so here it is. (To waste your time)

This Growing Tree
Yihan

There was a time when I entered primary school
At a negligible height of 112.
Nanyang rejected,
Tao Nan accepted.
And that’s how it all began.

Right round the school hall
There was a time when I’d play catching.
And together with my friends in Primary 1
Right round the school compound
We’d go exploring.
That’s where the roots start growing.

There was a time in Primary 2
When I’d start drawing
Right in the quadrangle
With my friends watching.
Watching those cotyledons drop.

There was a time when Tao Nan underwent great renovations
And new area implementations
Came propping up one by one.
And before Primary 3 ended,
It seemed like I was in a foreign school.
A foreign school with growing leaves.

There was a time when more excursions came
When my free time was restricted to a frame.
In came the workshops and overnight camps.
In Primary 4
When more work drove,
When the branches starts blooming
On a stove.

Exchange programs.
And even more camps.
A heavier schoolbag.
All of which made those flowers in Primary 5,
Start to grow and come alive.

Then came the times
When we’d learn everything in one semester,
And consolidate anything in the other.

Doing countdowns for the national exam.
Free time then was reduced to zero.
All waiting for us to show what we have
As a hero.

All eyes on us. For we’re on the top.
To maintain those scores of the past.
And hoping that it’ll last.
I thought we were in agony.
Thought the bark’s rotting into an ugly mahogany.

Class Bonding
Was a typical thing.
Immersion Programs and even more camps.
Are added on to the waiting list.
They materialised after all,
And to not much surprise or appall,
We bonded.
We stayed connected.

And that’s when I knew the fruits' ripened.

Ok. Just in case some of you are still confused, we're meeting in 6J Classroom at 9am. KK will be going to ECP earlier to check on the bowling alley.

So here're the details (again):

Venue: ECP
Time: 9am-8pm
Date: Tomorrow lah

What to Bring:
- Cash (Rental Bikes, Swimming (They might charge for showering. I dk), Bowling)
- Items for Play (Frisbee (Zuo Min and Darren), Gameball (Max), Balloons (For Waterfight if we want to - me, if I can get them by morning)
- Extra Clothing in case some ppl want wet activities by the beach
- If you want: cap, umbrella..and all the other basic stuff you bring for any excursion or sth.
- Any other random thing you want to bring

What to Wear:
- Class tees (opt.)

Just remember, it's a casual outing. So if you didn't bring sth, someone else might hav.
Don't carry too many thing though, because we don't have a place to put them all, unlike during the Downtown East Outing.

Meet you guys in 6J classroom. We'll settle any question over thr.

In order to make this whole thing more casual, here's what:

I'll keep you updated with the schedule. But here's the change.
We'll go to 6J classroom upon arrival to TNS.
We'll have more discussions there, and they'll be hosted by KK himself. (Kevin, you can kill me for typing this :] )

Bring anything you want to. We'll make it as fruitful and casual.
We'll use the whiteboard for planning, markers sponsored by Ms Lam's toolbox? Don't tell anyone. K jkjk.

Anyways, after the planning, we scribble some messages for 6J'09, then you all might want to have some 'mock recess again, and you can hang out and do the things you used to do last yr with your friends.

Then we'll head for ECP.

I'm changing the program schedule again, hopefully for the better.
The final one will be out on Thursday.

Ok. Here's the catch.
I'm thinking of bowling, as what KK suggested, or we'll have nothing to do but slack around.

Here's what I've got.
Called up the bowling centre, and they said that it's $2.50 per student per game. So if you support bowling, and you want bowling, and you're willing to pay:

- Email me, or state so in the cbox.
- Bring your EZlink cards on that day just in case.
- Get ready your cash, depending on the number of games you feel like playing.
- State the number of games you want to play. (Duration)

For those who don't want to bowl, you'd most likely want to spend your time in some other way. More beach activities, like frisbee and volleyball?

I can only place my bookings on Thursday, because I need the time for you to respond.
You can reach me via MSN (lyk offline messaging if i'm off9 or sth) as well.

Also, what about moving the whole outing till 20June? Cos 6I is having their outing on that day, and we can join them since they're planning to have some class games.

I've done the new plan.

The Class Gathering this June for 6Jians: Im thinkin of having both ECP and Sentosa, lyk we go Sentosa first, do those attractions or maybe have lunch there...and then return to ECP where we can lyk book a BBQ pit and stay till nite, or even overnite. But I'm really not sure.

We'll need sponsoring, purchasin of the food. And more sponsoring. Sentosa ain't a cheap place, so lots of cash needed. I bet most of you would object, cos we're all not that rich. If not, it would be back to the same old Downtown East, where we mite want an overnite stay for a change?

Btw, one chalet (squeeze about 10 max) costs $350 in Downtown. $100 for BBQ Pit. So $450 in one night. Think it's possible? Nt sure. But I need your opinion.

Ookay. Darren posted at last - was waiting for his response to this blog for quite some time already. Erm...before you get me wrong here. I am not in for any form of rivalry btw the 2 schools...you know wad I mean.

Maybe I should stop being soooo ego (the kind of influence u get from my class) and talk abt the class. Today was fine. And in IH class we started to go into depth abt the founding of the settlement Singapura...abt Farquhar being fired by Stamford Raffles and stuff lyk that...John Crawfurd...blah blah blah. And then they talked about words with "Raffles" in it...and immediately, guess wad. My class started jeering out of e blue.

Then I suddenly remembered my friends in RI and RGS...just so far away from Bt. Timah. I heard from KK:) Cousin...that RI bears no grudge against our school. And I just feel this injustice in our school...Imean, why are we viewing things this way. (Although Darren quarrelled with Yee Hark I think. During the CNY Break on 23 Jan over wad is gd abt RI and HCI...so ego again. Sorry :D.

Although the mannerism my class displayed might be disapproved by friends from mixed schools lyk DHS (so envious. Should have got into that sch. Then you won't see only boys and boys only know how to talk abt stuff with titillation component (tryin not to sound sick :). U noe wad I mean, right Darren?)

Oya. And recently, Alex got commended for honesty on our schs message board...woof. Tot you would have kept the money. Gd done job Alex.

Ya. My point is really simple, after having typed so much crap. I luv crapping, esp on this kind of blog :D. When it comes to classmates, I just want you to know, esp my friends from RI, that I won't discriminate even if you were to say things lyk the sch uniform waste a lot of time to put on leh...got so many buttons wan. Then lose how? That sort of stuff.

If u find that I am getting sort of one-way (lyk the Math Studio's one-way glass in TNS), pls tell me. cos I'm worried that if i am ignorant to stuff lyk that, these things will accumulate and will be packed real tightly in a timebomb equipped with explosives, waiting to explode, and eventually, smash this egoistical one-way glass into smithereens.

Right I actually dunno wad to say now...
I just like to waste my time crapping on this blog (okay no offence to its founders, really)

Gah! Hwa Chong life is sooo stressful (-_=") unlike Yuding's Orthusian life. (Yuding, you are in Ortus right?)
Not like my Aphelionite life...
Working on my ACE Entries. And I hope to see a light at the end of this winding, liberinth-like (right spelling?) tunnel. Just hate it. But I love it. Cos doing ace is fun.

Actually I think Tao Nan should implement ace system also...like self-initiated research and learning and then get ace marks, which will be calculated into EOY Grades.

Good news here (lyk Shi Minn)...but very ego news. My subjects are improving slowly. But I still dun know how its like to top the class or sth. (Talk about Douglas.)

And more news. I kinda miss mixed-school life. Dun get me wrong here. And no offence to everyone, especially the girls. But whenever I step out of the fences of Hwa Chong, and walk over the overhead bridge to the NJC, RGPS and NYGH side. I see the faces of other people...and man they look like strangers (still no offence, really).

Juz wanna say that I wouldn't really mind transfering to DHS and restore the TNS-like life. No boys, boys and onli boys (k joking abt this bit).

Honestly,
I miss TNS life. Just replay a photo montage from your mind, thinkin abt those times (including Ms Lam's deadly weapon and Ms Ngoh's folded-corrections and all that Elithea-Wong-Wi stuff from P5) and juz feel that you want to go back in time and pull away Trevor's TODAY paper and smash it into his face...lyk what Jonathan, Joshua and Max would do. (Feel so sorry for Trevor).

Right. I'm not sure if the title's apt, but I kinda feel that I had been getting quite emo. these few days. Juz received an SMS from Trevor asking when 黄老师's birthday was, and then I remembered that I had'nt been seeing all of u ppl for quite some time.

K, will keep this post short. I hate spamming blogs. But all I want to say is that to those of you whom I had apologised to through emails (e.g.:Trevor), I am now openly admitting that I knew all of u thought I was a complete suc* off last year. And yes, u all knew that I was emo last yr oso.
